Sphere Twelve in Antique Overshot Coverlet

Sphere Twelve is the first round shaped pillow from Sohn. What differentiates this round pillow from the rest is the precise seaming. The inspiration comes from medicine balls, which utilize gentle shaping on each panel. Sphere Twelve also has more cutlines than most round pillows, which also makes it more efficient; the 12 panels maximize the use of fabric and also work well for using odd shaped fabric scraps and fabric waste. 

This antique wool cotton overshot coverlet was chosen for its playful pattern and colors. The pattern is reminiscent of Verner Panton, even though it was most likely hand loomed in America much earlier. Red and blue wool yarns overshot on a cream base, creating a dazzling optical pattern that is truly one of a kind.
