The inspiration comes from medicine balls, which utilize gentle shaping on each panel. Sphere Twelve also has more cutlines than most round pillows, which also makes it more efficient; the 12 panels maximize the use of fabric and also work well for using odd shaped fabric scraps and fabric waste.
